Mr. Tsipras had solutions. The tolerance of the opposition and their support in Parliament, whenever needed, would have enabled him to govern until our tottering economy stabilized. But Mr. Tsipras succumbed to the cunning thought of “let’s have elections now, before the people realize how much they have to pay in the fall”. This led him to a choice that will be tragic for the country. He did the same last month. Mr. Tsipras led the country to a divisive referendum that forced the closure of the banks, turning the Greek people into beggars, in order to end up with “the best Memorandum of all times”, as his Ministers are now bragging. Greece lost all of its allies and we, Potami, were forced, despite our relatively small size, to be the ones defending the country and its European identity in the foreign capitals.

In the meantime, domestically, in these last 6 months, the country has been decomposing. The Ministries have been “reoccupied” by the buddies, the relatives, the party operatives. The same as in the past. In education, the effort by children to excel has been designated as a stigma. The policy of open borders and open prisons, which is applied by Mr. Tsipras’ Ministers, has created insecurity and exasperation on our islands and the neighborhoods of our cities. But this gang of friends that form the government does not want to work. They are not interested in resolving problems. They just want to “make deals” and gain time. The Greek society will pay a high price for the elections that will take place in September. More enterprises will shut down, there will be even higher unemployment, more people and more companies running away and moving abroad. But, all this is of trivial importance το the parasites of the parties’ mechanisms. The only thing that matters to them is to invent tricks that help them perpetuate their power and benefits. And, they now think that they have invented a new one, elections. But, this time, the party parasites will be disappointed. The Greek people have understood that with lies the country cannot move forward. Potami, with the power of the truth and the power of the new, will be in these elections again, the only answer for the productive and creative people.
