The mission has been accomplished. The country remains in the Eurozone and the European Union. Alexis Tsipras kept his last promise, in the face of all those who wanted Greece’s return to drachma.
We hope that the government, the Parliament and the political parties will live up to the challenge and, without any further delay or vacillation, will make the necessary decisions, so that we can move on to a new era, as soon as possible.
The final deal, which was long overdue, includes harsh regulations and, unfortunately, demands further sacrifices from the Greek people. This time, though, let’s do it, with plan, determination and justice.
We owe this to Greece and to our children.
