A referendum is the choice of the faint-hearted. Politics is not just about benefits and pompous marches. Leaders should dare to make the necessary decisions that their country needs.
Contradictory messages on the progress made in negotiations, sent once again by the government in view of tomorrow’s Eurogroup, trigger catastrophic scenarios for the economy and the country. It is time that the government stops blowing hot and cold and put an end to its communication tricks. Minister of State, Alekos Flambouraris, institutionally representing the Prime Minister, referred once again to the disastrous choice of a referendum. This is unacceptable. A referendum is the choice of the faint-hearted. Politics is not just about benefits and pompous marches. Leaders should dare to make the necessary decisions that their country needs. Especially when there is an overwhelming majority, both in the Parliament, as well as in the society, demanding the completion of the negotiations, so that the country can remain in the eurozone and the European Union.
