Stavros Theodorakis commented on privatizations in Greece, in an interview from Crete, and pointed out that precious time was lost, while the government was trying to please its political party executives. The country needs a government that has nothing to do with SYRIZA and ANEL.
Asked to comment on the possibility of elections, Mr Theodorakis said that “Right now, elections would bring about upheaval. Let the country return to a certain balance, let the evaluation process be completed and then we can talk about elections.
Asked to comment on the scenario of cooperation with other political parties, Mr Theodorakis said that “To Potami needs to move on on its own. This talk over a potential cooperation is just a talk that pleases journalists. I do not care at all about this issue. It is true that we do keep contact with other political parties, trying to find things that we have in common. What really matters is that the society needs a new proposal, a center directed, reformist, progressive proposal. What we consider to be the serious center, the center of logic. However, this cannot possibly happen if we use old materials, through a renovation”.
