Unfortunately once again PM Tsipras’ first action upon his return from particularly crucial talks on the country's future, was not to inform the Parliament, the political parties and the Greek people, but to apologize to the factions of his party.
The whole Greek society is still waiting for an answer, but Syriza has its own party procedures. PM Tsipras rushed to his party to account for his moves and choices. In his speech he made clear that his greatest concern is the balance of power inside the party and how to bargain with the internal party opposition.
PM Tsipras said that reaching an agreement is a matter of days. However, he offered no specifics on what this agreement is about. He limited himself to merely making vague references, repeating empty slogans and expressing wishful thinking. What is absolutely clear is that his pre-election promises which were to be fulfilled "here and now" are officially deferred over a four-year horizon.
