Giorgos Grammatikakis studied Physics at the University of Crete, where he has been elected twice as Rector.
He has written four books, one of which “Coma Berenices” was filmed as a television series by ET1. He was born in Heraklion, Crete in 1939 and received his PhD at the Imperial College of London University. He cooperated with many European universities and research institutions, while he has also been a member of the National Centre for Scientific Research Demokritos. He worked in the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). He is very experienced in educational and scientific research issues and he has participated in various committees and expert groups in the European Union.
