THEODORAKIS STAVROS – Head of Potami – Thessaloniki Electoral District

Stavros Theodorakis was born in 1963, in a small village in Crete, and raised in Agia Barbara, a traditionally poor, working class suburb in Western Athens.

He was a journalist since 1984 and he worked in nine radio stations, six magazines and four TV channels. He was a prestigious columnist, while he interviewed some of the most interesting personalities from the political and social world in Greece. He hosted the documentary-type TV show “Protagonistes”, which was the most popular TV show in Greece. He was not only its TV host, but also its director. Up until its sudden end, the show was ranked first in measurements. He is the author of three books, with journalistic, political and social content. Stavros Theodorakis was also involved in many Roma educational projects, when he went back to his origins in Agia Barbara suburb and dedicated all his time and effort, striving for social justice. Along with his friends, Mr Theodorakis started a Mediterranean kitchen restaurant. He also launched the website protagon.gr, with articles suggesting stories that “make us think differently”. He gave up all these projects and activities in February 2014, in order to create the political party ToPotami, along with his friends, once again. He is married and he has one daughter.
