Alexis Tsipras should act as Prime minister and not as the leader of SYRIZA factions

Leader of Potami Stavros Theodorakis met yesterday with the European Commissioner for Regional Policy, Corina Creţu. Following this meeting, Stavros Theorakis was asked by journalists to comment on the EU Summit in Riga, Latvia. Mr Theodorakis stated:

“As soon as he gets back from Riga, it would be good, and we would consider this to be very helpful, for the Prime Minister to inform political leaders on the developments of negotiations. There is a 50 to 60% of people who do not belong to the SYRIZA – ANEL formation and they finally need to know how negotiations with our European partners have evolved. I am talking about people who do not have access to the briefings addressed to SYRIZA party members. We have reached the zero point and we cannot wait anymore. We want specific answers on what we negotiate, what we ask, what we demand and when we expect solutions. This is the duty of Alexis Tsipras, and I repeat this for the umpteenth time. He should be acting act as Prime Minister of the country, as head of the government and not as the leader of SYRIZA factions”.
